Notes
- The IncrediBuild Linux installation does not require a reboot or an application shutdown.
- You do not need an active IncrediBuild license in order to install IncrediBuild Linux and prepare its Environment.
Installing IncrediBuild Linux for the first time is very straightforward. The installation package, which you receive from IncrediBuild, contains an Installer file called incredibuild_[version_no.].bin. This Installer file contains all the components of IncrediBuild Linux you need to install. Each of the required components is installed using the Installer file with different installation parameters. Your only major decision is on which machines to install the different components:
- Coordinator - install the Coordinator on a machine that will be used to monitor and manage the Agents. You should install the Coordinator first, since the IP address/hostname of the Coordinator will be used during the installation process of the Agents, in order to establish the Agent–Coordinator communication.
- Initiator Agent - install an Initiator Agent on one or more machines from which builds will be executed.
- Helper Agent - install Helper Agents on all the machines that will contribute their CPU resources and participate in IncrediBuild Environment.
