Downgrading to IncrediBuild Pro Edition

In case you want to stop using the IncrediBuild Enterprise Edition but would like to keep the IncrediBuild infrastructure you've set intact and use it as the IncrediBuild Pro Edition, we've made the process such that you don't need to completely uninstall all of the IncrediBuild components and completely reinstall the Pro Edition all over again.

The Downgrade process will uninstall the additional components that made up the Enterprise Edition, leaving you with the remaining components that make up the IncrediBuild Pro Edition.

Notes:

  • Your existing Enterprise Edition license can still be used even after downgrading to the Pro Edition.
  • All of the features of the Enterprise Edition are still usable except for the IncrediBuild Dashboard
  • The option to completely uninstall IncrediBuild is available to you as well.

How to Downgrade

To downgrade from IncrediBuild Enterprise Edition to IncrediBuild Pro Edition:

The downgrade process only needs to be performed on the machine hosting your main Coordinator. No changes need to be made to machines hosting Agents.

  1. Open up the "install' file located in the directory where you have saved IncrediBuild, or click on uninstall through the Windows "Add or remove programs" settings.
  2. You will then be greeted by this window:
    • Click Next to proceed.
  3. You will be given four options. Select the "Downgrade to IncrediBuild Pro Edition" option.

Note: Select the "Uninstall IncrediBuild" option if you would like to completely remove IncrediBuild from this machine.

    • Click Next to proceed.
  4. You will be greeted by this window explaining the downgrade process.

Note: If you want to keep the data accumulated by the IncrediBuild Enterprise Edition, please contact support@incredibuild.com for further instructions.

    • Click Next to proceed.
  5. The downgrade process will now begin.

Note: During the downgrade, the IncrediBuild Dashboard, the IncrediBuild database, PostgreSQL, and the Apache Server will be removed.

  6. Your downgrade is now complete and you are now working with the IncrediBuild Pro Edition.

Notes:

  • If you decide to keep using the Enterprise Edition license, you still have access to all of the Enterprise Edition features except for the IncrediBuild Dashboard.
  • If these features are irrelevant to you, you may load in an IncrediBuild Pro Edition license.
  • To get a new Pro Edition license please contact us at sales@incredibuild.com
