Changing the Default Network Ports

Several ports need to be open for the operation of IncrediBuild Linux. Each of these ports has a default value that is automatically set during the installation of IncrediBuild Linux. You can change these default ports during or after the installation.

The default TCP ports that need to be open and available are: 2088, 2089, 9952, 9953, and 8080.

Note: It is not recommended to change the default ports. However, if you need to change them, carefully follow the guidelines described in this manual.

The ports that need to be open are as follows:

  • Agent Control Port – this port is used for the communication between an Initiator Agent and a Helper Agent. Default: 2088 and 2089

  • Coordinator Utility Port – this port is used for the communication between the Coordinator and the Initiator and Helper Agents, for transferring system information and status about the machines that host the Agents. Default: 9953

  • Coordinator Session Port – this port is used for the communication between the Coordinator and an Initiator Agent and. Default: 9952

  • Webserver Port – this port is used for the communication between your browser and the Web Management Console of the Coordinator and Agents. Default: 8080

  • Automatic Upgrade Port – this port is used for the communication between the Coordinator and the Agents for the automatic upgrade process. Default: 8080
