A hybrid cloud environment means that all or some of your development, build, and testing resources are located on-premises. When using IncrediBuild Cloud with a hybrid environment, the initiation of your tasks can be done locally, while the execution of the tasks will be performed partly or entirely on the cloud. To use IncrediBuild Cloud in a hybrid environment, you can install the Coordinator and Initiator Agents on either on-premises machines or VMs.

Note: If you choose to install the Coordinator and/or Initiator Agents on VMs on the cloud, refer also to the instructions in the Setting Up IncrediBuild Cloud in a Pure Cloud Environment section.

> To set up IncrediBuild Cloud in a hybrid cloud environment:

  1. Install the Coordinator on either on-premises machine or a VM in your Azure environment.

    Notes:

  2. Install IncrediBuild Initiator Agent on every machine from which the task executions will be initiated. This can be either an on-premises machine or a VM in your Azure environment.
Note: For step-by-step instructions on the Agent installation, see: https://incredibuild.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IUM/pages/11796481/Typical+Installation

Important! During the Agent installation process via the Setup Wizard, connect the Initiator Agents to the Coordinator you installed in the previous step:

Once the Coordinator and Initiator Agents are installed on machines that are located either on-premises or on your Azure environment, you can activate your IncrediBuild Cloud solution.
