In order to run IncrediBuild Cloud on Azure platform, you need to have the following:
...
Azure Roles – in order to manage for you resources on Azure, IncrediBuild needs certain permissions, which are included in two Azure roles. These Azure roles are:
Directory Role - Global Administrator:
Note: For more information on viewing and assigning administrator roles in Azure Active Directory, see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/users-groups-roles/directory-manage-roles-portalRole-Based Access Control (RBAC) - Owner:
Note: For more information on Role-Based Access Control, see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/role-based-access-control/overview
To activate IncrediBuild Cloud, you must have a user that has these two roles. However, you can use these roles in two ways in the activation procedure of IncrediBuild Cloud:
- Sign into your Azure account with the user who has Global Administrator and Owner roles - in this case, you grant IncrediBuild the permissions included in these roles, and you will not need to provide any additional login details. IncrediBuild Cloud will automatically use these permissions to create and obtain the necessary login details for your organization.
- Sign into your Azure account with a user who has lower roles - in this case, you grant IncrediBuild lower permissions, and you will need to provide additional login details during the solution activation procedure. These login details should be provided to you by a user in your organization who has Global Administrator and Owner roles, and therefore can create and obtain the required details.
Note: To learn more about the login details you will need to provide, see Obtaining the Required Azure Login Details.
