The first step in activating IncrediBuild Cloud is launching it.
> To launch IncrediBuild Cloud:
Open the Coordinator Monitor. On the upper bar, click the Add Cloud Cores button:Note: To launch the solution, you can also click the Add Cloud Cores button on the Cloud Machines pane.The Welcome page of IncrediBuild Cloud appears.
On the Welcome page, click the SCALE TO CLOUD NOW button:The Choose Your Cloud Provider page appears.
On the Choose Your Cloud Provider page, select your preferred cloud provider and platform. The selected cloud platform will be integrated with IncrediBuild Cloud to provide you with VMs for your task acceleration:Note: AWS is not fully supported at this stage. If you are interested in activating IncrediBuild Cloud with AWS, contact us: https://www.incredibuild.com/aws-cloud-contact-us.htmlIf you selected Azure, the IncrediBuild Cloud – Azure Login page appears.
On the IncrediBuild Cloud – Azure Login page, you need to choose with which Azure roles you want to login and activate IncrediBuild Cloud – Azure solution:After you click the Login button that is appropriate to your account and needs, on the next page you will be requested to sign into Azure with an account that matches your selection. For example, if you want to login with a user who has Global Administrator and Owner roles, you need to select the right Login button, and on the next step, sign into Azure with an account that has these roles.You have two options for logging into IncrediBuild Cloud – Azure solution:Sign into your Azure account with a user that has a Global Administrator and Owner roles.Signing with these roles means that you grant full permissions to IncrediBuild Cloud to automatically create for you an Azure AD app and all the required login details.In this case, click the right Login button (under the Yes, I Do column).Sign into your Azure account with a user who does NOT have Global Administrator and Owner roles.In this case, click the left Login button (under the I'm not sure column).
After clicking one of the Login buttons, the Azure Sign in page appears. This page enables you to connect to your cloud account.
On the Azure Sign in page, enter the sign in credentials of your Azure account and click Next. On the following page, enter your password and click Next:
Important! Sign in with an account that matches the selection you made in the previous page – either a user account with Global Administrator and Owner roles, or a user account with lower roles.
If you already signed in to Azure portal, and you have more than one account, the Pick an account page is displayed, allowing you to select an existing account. In this case, select the account that you want to use for IncrediBuild Cloud, and click Next.
If you have more than one Azure account, and you installed the Coordinator and/or Initiator Agents on Azure platform using one of the accounts, it is recommended to use the same account for this activation process. For more information on using more than one account, see the Important! note on Setting Up IncrediBuild Cloud in a Pure Cloud Environment.
Your sign in credentials are used for creating and managing VMs in your Azure account, for the sole purpose of accelerating the execution of your tasks. They are not saved on a local machine but as a token on Azure servers, and therefore they are highly secured.
The Microsoft – Permissions requested page appears.
Depending on the account you selected for logging in, one of the following Microsoft – Permissions requested pages appear:
If you selected to log in with Global Administrator and Owner roles, the following page appears:In this case, read the request details, and click the Accept button.
If you selected to log in with lower roles, a page with fewer permissions appears:In this case, read the request details, and select the checkbox – Consent on behalf of your organization. Then, click the Accept button.
Depending on the account you selected for logging in, one of the following occurs:
If you selected to login with Global Administrator and Owner roles, you finished the login procedure, and you arrive to the Settings page. In this case, continue to Configuring and Activating Your IncrediBuild Cloud Solution.
If you selected to log in with lower roles, the second IncrediBuild Cloud – Azure Login page appears. In this case, continue to the next step.
On the second IncrediBuild Cloud – Azure Login page, enter the required login details as follows:Note: To learn how to create these login details, see Obtaining the Required Azure Login Details.Tenant ID – the Directory (tenant) ID of the new Azure app. You can find this ID under the title of Directory ID or Tenant ID in several places in Azure portal.To find your Tenant ID in the new Azure app page:Go to the App registration page, and select the new Azure app.On the new Azure app page, copy the string that appears in the Directory (tenant) ID field:New Azure AD Application ID – the Application (client) ID of the new Azure app. You can find this ID in several places in Azure portal.To find your New Azure AD Application ID in the App registration page:Go to the App registration page, and locate the new Azure app.Copy the string that appears in the Application (client) ID field:Client Secret - the Client Secret or Application Password of the new Azure app. Paste the Client Secret string you saved after its creation. Note: If you do not have a saved Client Secret, you can create a new one, as described on Obtaining the Required Azure Login Details - Creating a New Client Secret section.
After you entered all the login details, click Continue.
The IncrediBuild Cloud Settings page appears.
You now need to configure the settings of your solution, as described on Configuring and Activating Your IncrediBuild Cloud Solution.
